Shari Erickson is an American contemporary artist celebrated for her vibrant depictions of Caribbean life and landscapes. A graduate of the Ringling School of Art, she initially worked as a figurative muralist in Atlanta before a 1979 trip to the West Indies transformed her artistic focus. Finding inspiration in the saturated colors and dynamic rhythms of island life, she developed a distinctive style characterized by bold colors and expressive figures. Erickson's work has been widely recognized, notably featuring in the U.S. Department of State's Art in Embassies program and on the cover of the Saturday Evening Post.
