Marion Greenwood (1909–1970) was an American artist known for her vibrant murals, prints, and paintings that often depicted social and political themes. She studied at the Art Students League of New York and traveled extensively, which influenced her work and gave her a global perspective. Greenwood's murals, which include significant works for public buildings in the U.S., reflect her interest in representing the struggles and triumphs of working-class people and marginalized communities. Her bold use of color and powerful compositions made her one of the leading muralists of the 20th century, and her work continues to be celebrated for its cultural and historical significance.
