Laszlo Lukacsi (Born 1961) Hungarian, Art Glass Sculpture "Sea Eye". The rounded shape is made to resemble the enormous eye of a whale or other sea creature, using rich gradients of blue colors with a white edge surrounded by the deepest blue. Four small round feet on the underside, signature near one of them. 

Size: 17 1/2 x 15 x 3 3/4 in. 

László Lukácsi was born in 1961 in Budapest, Hungary, and graduated from Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design in 1985 with a focus on glassmaking. His abstract Op Art-inspired works have appeared in international exhibitions and museums all over the world, winning prizes and leading to numerous workshops. The first artist to use dichroich glass in Hungary, his sculptures are made by coldworking glass and mirrors, using the technique known as “laminated glass,” and today he continues to produce new pieces at his home studio in Tinnye alongside his son, Boldizsár Lukácsi.
