Jack Barrett is an American artist whose work spans a wide range of styles and subjects, including representational and expressionistic painting, illustration, and caricature. He attended the Carnegie Institute and graduated from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in 1954, and his diverse career has included news feature illustration, sports cartoons, political caricatures, show-business portraits, and more serious fine art; his style ranges from meticulous representationalism to freer expressionist work. Barrett has taught, created sculpture and murals, and exhibited widely in galleries throughout Florida, the United States, and Canada, earning awards for newspaper illustration and publishing work in various art and illustration reference publications.
