Ingfried Paul Henze-Morro (1925–2013) was a German painter celebrated for his vibrant landscapes, floral still lifes, portraits, and Mediterranean scenes. Born in Leipzig, Germany, he studied at the Leipzig Art Academy and later continued his training at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, where he became a master student. After World War II, Henze-Morro traveled extensively throughout Europe, spending time in Tangier, Paris, and eventually settling for many years near Lake Garda, Italy, where the region’s light and scenery deeply influenced his work. His style, often described as New German Impressionism or Post-Impressionism, is characterized by expressive color, energetic brushwork, and a luminous atmosphere. Through his richly textured paintings of forests, gardens, coastal views, and European landscapes, Henze-Morro developed a distinctive artistic voice that earned international recognition and a lasting place among 20th-century European impressionist painters.
