Mary Ann Flynn-Fouse was born in 1936 and began her art career in the 1950s at Kent State University. Inspired by the works of Pollack, DeKooning, Rothko, and Motherwell, the radical avant-garde appealed to her and she began working in abstract expressionism, creating what she deemed “splashy, gestural coloramas” for nearly seven decades since. She is currently producing works at her home studio in Naples, Florida that have been seen in galleries around the Sun Coast.
