Six bird photographs, one serigraph, four bird prints, and one watercolor, five of the photographs were taken by Sarasota residents, each one is already wired to hang, and all to benefit the Sarasota Audubon Society a) Serigraph showing pair of Spoonbill Joy, photography by Lisa Vreede from Grosse Point Farms, Michigan, brown wooden frame that measures 13 1/2 x 13 1/2 and the image is 12 x 12 in. square. b) Spoonbill Joy photographed by David Muolo, a retired educator from Syracuse, New York, who now resides in Sarasota and enjoys photography as a hobby, matted and in a dark brown frame, the frame measures 10 x 10 x 1 3/4 in. deep and the image measures 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 in. square. c) Four American bird prints, these framed prints feature a male and female cardinal, an American goldfinch, a Baltimore oriole, and an Eastern bluebird, the metal frames measure 12 x 16 and the images measure 8 x 11 1/4 in. wide. d) Bird photograph taken at the Ringling Bridge in Sarasota, the photograph is titled “Birds on a Wire” and was shot by Andrea Plautz, a Sarasota resident, matted and signed in the lower left of the photograph and on the backside, the frame is 16 1/8 x 20 and the image is 9 3/4 x 12 3/8 in. wide. e) Red winged blackbird photograph by Paul Lewis, this photo was taken in 2018 and is titled “You Talkin’ to Me?”, which comes from a line by Robert Deniro in the movie “Taxi Driver”, Lewis is a Sarasota resident, the brown frame is 10 1/4 x 12 1/4 and the image is 7 5/8 x 9 1/2 in. wide. f) Photo of a pair of falcons in a perch by Donald Schneider, the image is titled “Patience Is A Virtue”, matted and signed on the back, the frame is 14 1/4 x 18 1/4 and the image is 7 1/2 x 11 3/4 in. wide. g) Photo of a duck taking flight by Dan Smith, the photo is titled “Quick Getaway” and the duck looks like a stone being skipped over the water as it takes off, matted, the dark frame measures 12 x 18 and the image is 7 x 13 5/8 in. wide. h) Photo of a warbler surrounded by broomsedge by Tatiana Staats, broomsedge is a species of grass native to the southeast U.S. and areas as far north as the Great Lakes. In 1972 Tatiana married David Staats, a prominent member of Radio Free Europe in Germany and Turkey, and she has been a resident of Sarasota since 2005. The photo measures 9 x 12 in. wide. i) Attractive watercolor of an eagle, the watercolor depicts an eagle perched in a tree with a background of snowcapped mountains, and the eagle’s stare speaks volumes. We are not sure who the artist is, but the signature appears to read Mayo in the lower right part of the image. Matted and with the Audubon Society’s seal on the backside, the white frame is 12 5/8 x 15 3/4 and the image is 7 3/4 x 9 3/4 in. wide.
