George Fall (circa 1848-1925) was a British artist renowned for his detailed watercolors and oil paintings of landscapes and topographical views. Born and educated in York, he spent his entire life in the city, becoming best known for his small, intricate watercolors of the Minster, the city, and the River Ouse. Fall also traveled extensively across England, capturing views of various cathedrals, including Durham, Wells, and Canterbury. Today, his works are held in collections such as the City Art Gallery in York, with a portrait of Prince Albert Victor included in the Royal Collection.
