The Zuni people are a Native American tribe primarily located in western New Mexico, known for their rich artistic traditions, spiritual practices, and deep connection to their ancestral lands. As one of the Pueblo tribes, the Zuni have a long history of agriculture, pottery, and intricate jewelry-making, particularly in silver and turquoise. Their religious life is centered around a complex ceremonial calendar and kachina rituals, reflecting their deep spiritual ties to nature. The Zuni are also renowned for their finely carved fetish sculptures, often depicting animals like buffalo, which are believed to hold protective and spiritual power. Despite historical challenges, the Zuni have maintained a strong cultural identity and continue to thrive through their artistic and agricultural traditions.
