Zalman Kleinman (1933–1995) was a Russian-born Jewish artist celebrated for his depictions of traditional Chassidic life. Born in Leningrad, he grew up immersed in the Chassidic community, which profoundly influenced his work. Kleinman began his career as an illustrator but later focused on painting, creating evocative scenes of daily Chassidic life, including moments of prayer, study, and celebration. His works are characterized by their warmth, spirituality, and deep connection to Jewish tradition. After immigrating to the United States, Kleinman continued to produce art that resonated with audiences worldwide, preserving the essence of Chassidic culture through his paintings.
