Vincent Glinsky (December 18, 1895 – March 19, 1975) was a Russian-born American sculptor, printmaker, and educator whose work spanned figurative and architectural sculpture as well as etching, lithography, and drawing. After emigrating to the United States as a child, he trained at the Beaux Arts Institute of Design and Columbia University’s School of Architecture, later earning a prestigious Guggenheim Fellowship and exhibiting widely in Europe and America. Glinsky contributed to public art through New Deal Federal Art Project commissions, architectural reliefs, and works for U.S. post offices, and he taught sculpture at institutions including Brooklyn College, New York University, and Columbia University. His art is noted for its technical mastery, warm expressive forms, and enduring commitment to classical craft within modern contexts.
