Valéria Orsovai (born October 18, 1943, in Pilisvörösvár, Hungary) is a Hungarian painter known for her delicate still lifes, especially floral compositions rendered with a soft, meticulous touch. She began painting regularly in the early 1970s and studied drawing under József Molnár, later refining her technique in a free school led by Ágnes Háper and József Bakalár. In 1980 she completed training in commercial graphic art, after which she produced commissioned works for clients throughout Europe and North America. Over time she developed a particular affinity for silk painting, a medium she felt allowed her to express her artistic vision most fully. Her work continues to appear in Hungarian galleries, often exhibited alongside pieces by her husband, artist Lajos Schranz.
