Brigitte Anne-Marie Bardot is a French actress, singer, former model, and animal rights activist. Bardot starred in many films, including Contempt and Viva Maria!. She's credited with popularizing the bikini and inspiring clothing and hairstyle trends. Bardot retired from acting in the 1970s to devote herself to animal activism, selling her possessions to fund her animal rights foundation.
