Susan Gott is an award-winning American sculptor and educator best known for her innovative cast-glass artworks and large-scale public art installations. Based in Tampa, Florida, she earned a Master of Fine Arts in glass from Kent State University and further studied at renowned institutions including Pilchuck, Haystack, Arrowmont, and Penland. For more than three decades, Gott has created one-of-a-kind sculptures that combine glass with materials such as steel, stone, copper, and gold leaf, drawing inspiration from mythology, ancient cultures, spirituality, and the relationship between humanity and nature. Her work has been exhibited internationally and is held in numerous museum, corporate, and public collections, including the Cafesjian Museum of Art in Armenia, the Polk Museum of Art, and the Imagine Museum in Florida. An accomplished educator, she has taught at the Corning Museum of Glass and other leading institutions while also contributing significantly to the advancement of contemporary glass art through public commissions, exhibitions, and professional leadership within the glass arts community.
