David Lotton (Born 1960) American, Abstract Art Glass Double-Sided Vase. A dazzling array of colors throughout, with two openings on the sides of the irregular form. Signed and dated 1993 on the underside, indistinctly titled below.

David Lotton (Born 1960) is a second generation American glassblower, the oldest son of Illinois glass master Charles Lotton who introduced him to the craft at a very young age. In 1970 Charles built a furnace and began blowing pieces of glass from melted down pop bottles in a shed behind their house, and David was his first assistant, spending most of his time after school and on weekends blowing glass. In 1978 he established his own company in the same space, David Lotton Glass Designs, constructing a new furnace and developing innovative color palettes and formulas that he continues to work with to this day, now the head of the Lotton Art Glass Gallery & Studios since the death of his father in 2021.
