A series of rectangular shapes with gradating colors forms the image, which is designed to be displayed either vertically or horizontally based on the buyer's preference. Numbered in pencil 1/1 bottom left as well as side bottom left. Signed in pencil bottom right as well as side bottom right. A label on the back of the frame reads "Sokol Hohne Abstract Mixed Media $800" with a framing label beneath it.

Starlie Sokol-Hohne was born in 1958 in Santa Monica, California, and studied art at the University of California, Los Angeles, obtaining her degree in 1980. Her experiences as a child riding horses in the woods and canyons near her home inspired her desire to express nature both abstractly and realistically, and since the early 80s she began exhibiting nationally both in group and one-woman shows. She currently runs Sokol-Hohne Studios, a group of art advisors and interior designers with offices in Los Angeles and Phoenix, Arizona, and her work is found in private, public, and corporate collections all over the world.
