Stanley Mouse (born Stanley George Miller, 1940–2024) was an influential American artist best known for his iconic poster art of the 1960s psychedelic movement. Emerging from the San Francisco Bay Area counterculture, he became closely associated with the rock-poster scene, creating instantly recognizable imagery for bands such as the Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane, and Jimi Hendrix. Mouse’s work blended bold color, surreal symbolism, and Art Nouveau influences with a distinctly American edge, helping to define the visual language of the era. Beyond posters, he produced album covers, fine art, and commercial illustration, maintaining a career that bridged underground culture and mainstream recognition. His art remains emblematic of the spirit, experimentation, and graphic innovation of the psychedelic age.
