Dino Rosin (born May 30, 1948, in Venice, Italy) is a renowned Murano glass artist celebrated for his hand-blown sculptures and his mastery of the ancient calcedonia glass technique. Raised on the island of Murano, he began working in glass at age twelve as an apprentice at Barovier & Toso before joining his brothers in their family studio. Over decades of work—especially through his long collaboration with his brother Loredano—Rosin developed into a respected maestro known for both hot-glass shaping and exceptional cold-work techniques such as cutting, grinding, and polishing. His rediscovery and refined use of calcedonia, a translucent, striated glass once considered a lost medieval art, gives each of his pieces a unique, flowing character. His sculptures have been exhibited widely in Europe and the United States and are highly prized by collectors worldwide.
