Size: 4 1/2 x 6 1/4 x 8 1/4 in.
Ron Lee (Born 1947) was an American sculptor best known for his exuberant, collectible clown figurines, which blended circus nostalgia with a bright, cartoonish sculptural style. Active from the 1970s through the early 21st century, he worked primarily in pewter and bronze, finishing each piece with hand-painted color and often mounting them on onyx bases. Lee’s clowns—sometimes whimsical, sometimes sentimental—became fixtures in gift shops and collectible markets, appreciated for their expressive faces and lively poses. Beyond clown imagery, he produced character figures and limited-edition pieces, but it was his commitment to preserving the charm and theatricality of circus culture that made him a beloved figure among collectors.
