Portrait of George Washington Attributed to John Trumbull (1756-1843) Pencil on paper. A finely detailed drawing, likely preparatory for the 1792 life sized painting "General George Washington at Trenton." Trumbull considered it to be the finest of his portraits of Washington. It epitomizes Washington's heroism and nobility.
