Bradford Perin, 20th C Portrait of African-American, "Willy", O/C. Striking portrait of Willy, an African-American young man, painted early 20th C., signed B.P. lower left. Male figure with folded arms gazes directly at the viewer, while subtle shadows are cast on the wall behind him. Condition: minor hole in canvas at upper left, minor abrasions and losses, ill-fitted in the frame. Provenance: painted by the consignor's grandfather.
Artist Bradford Perin (1888-1963) was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, and is known for sculpture, painting, portraiture.
