Pierre Eugène Cambier (1914–2000) was a French painter and watercolorist celebrated for his atmospheric depictions of Parisian streets and the French countryside. Exhibiting regularly at the Salon des Indépendants and Salon d'Automne, he used a luminous, impressionistic style to capture everyday cityscapes with exceptional sensitivity to light. Also a dedicated teacher, his artwork—and legacy carried on by his daughter, artist Danièle Cambier—remains popular among collectors of classic French views.
