Patricia Zenda (also known as Pat Zenda and Pat Dugan) was born on January 7th, 1930 in Wisconsin. She studied at the Layton School of Art, Wisconsin State Teachers College and served as artist in residence there from 1963 to 1964. She studied internationally at the Positano Art Workshop in Italy in 1964, and in Art Study Seminars in England, France, and Italy in 1966. After her marriage to Thomas E. Dugan she returned to the Midwest, where she had numerous successful showings and taught art privately and in classrooms for several years. Her paintings are found in many public and private collections, but she did little to no painting from the mid 1980s through the late 90s after her husband took ill and passed away. She began to work again briefly after relocating to Florida in the early 2000s, but her own deteriorating health led her family to move her to be closer to them in Kingman, Arizona, where she died on June 25th, 2019.
