Nina Cambron (Born 1955) American, Abstract Art Glass Clock. Long rectangular body in a myriad of blue and red colors, with two small vertical yellow strips to denote 12 o clock and 6 o clock in between the hour, minute, and second hands. Signed and dated 2010 bottom left. Comes with electric movement on back ready to hang on a wall. Takes one AA battery.

Nina Cambron was born in 1955 in Bay City, Michigan, the daughter of a painter and a tool-and-die man who exposed her early on to both art and lathes, mills, and grinders. She developed a fascination with painting by the time she was five, and was already making abstract watercolors before she entered high school. While at the Cleveland Art Institute in the early 1970s she was exposed to fused glass, and began making wall sculptures, clocks, and mixed-media figures. Her abstract works in rich hues led her to earn a degree in fine arts from the University of Michigan in 1978. She explored nearly every possible medium over the next decade before returning to becoming a full-time glass artist in the early 90s, with her post graduate work spread throughout the country at Bullseye Glass Factory, Oatka Glass, the College for Creative Studies, and the Pilchuck Glass School. Today she and her husband maintain a studio in Detroit, with much of her work available there as well as prominently in Mullaly’s 128 Studio & Gallery in Elk Rapids, and hundreds of her pieces in private and public collections throughout the United States and Canada.
