Nicholas Mace (born 1949) is a British wildlife and sporting artist known for his highly detailed paintings of game birds, hunting dogs, horses, and the rural landscapes of the British countryside. Born in London in 1949 and largely self-taught, Mace began selling his artwork as a teenager before leaving a career in commercial design to paint full time. His deep involvement in field sports, wildlife conservation, and game management gives his work an authenticity that is reflected in its careful observation of animal behavior and natural settings. Since exhibiting regularly at the British Game Fair from the early 1970s, his paintings have become sought after by collectors in both the United Kingdom and the United States for their realism, technical precision, and celebration of traditional country life.
