Size: 1 1/4 x 8 in.

Founded in 1881 by Achille Ditesheim in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, the company adopted the name Movado—Esperanto for "always in motion"—in 1905 as it expanded into wristwatch production. The brand gained international acclaim for its iconic 1947 Museum Watch, a Bauhaus-inspired minimalist design by Nathan George Horwitt featuring a single metallic dot at 12 o’clock. Acquired by Gedalio Grinberg's North American Watch Corporation in 1983, Movado Group has grown into a global horological entity managing a portfolio of proprietary and major licensed fashion brands.

We cannot guarantee the working condition of any timepiece.

All items are sold AS IS. Lot and condition details are for descriptive purposes only. Sarasota Estate Auction is not responsible for errors and/or omissions of condition. The absence of a condition report does not imply that the lot is perfect or free from wear, flaws, or characteristics of age.
