Monumental Persian Nain Wool Carpet. Almost fifteen feet long and ten feet wide, and using the traditional light cream and ivory tones the Nain rugs are famous for, the form and central medallion show strong Isfahan influences, in a size and style meant to fill a room and be the center of attention. 

Size: 178 x 115 1/2 In. 

Nain rugs are produced in the city of Nain in central Iran, with the industry beginning shortly before World War II. They are constructed using the Persian knot, and typically have between 250 and 500 knots per square inch. The pile is wool, spun finer than most Persian wools, and the nap is short. The design of Nain rugs is similar to Isfahan and Kashan rugs, including the Shãh Abbãsi floral patterns and vines, but often use lighter colors like ivory or pastels.
