Miharu Lane (born 1948) is a Japanese-American painter and printmaker whose richly detailed, narrative works blend traditional Japanese aesthetic influences with modern composition and printmaking techniques. She earned a BFA and an MFA through studies that included Virginia Commonwealth University, Maryland Institute College of Art, and the California College of Arts and Crafts, and her work has been included in group exhibitions at institutions such as George Mason University and The Pennsylvania State University. Lane’s lithographs and paintings—often featuring elegant figures, cultural motifs, and serene interior or landscape scenes—have been exhibited widely in the United States and are part of notable collections, including the Museum of Modern Art’s Poster Collection and displays at venues like the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. She has also served as a long-time art educator, teaching at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania and contributing to the broader artistic community.
