Mid Century Venetian Murano Style Bullicante Blown Controlled Bubble ARt Glass Vase. Bullicante-style art glass vase featuring a vibrant red interior encased in clear glass with controlled air bubbles and an organic, pierced base.

Size: 6 1/4 x 6 1/4 x 11 in. 

 

The bullicante glass technique is a traditional Venetian method developed on Murano, characterized by a pattern of evenly spaced air bubbles trapped within the glass. Artisans create this effect by dipping molten glass into a mold covered with small spikes, forming tiny indentations that become bubbles when the glass is reheated and layered. The result is a distinctive, textured appearance that enhances light refraction, making bullicante pieces highly valued for their decorative elegance and craftsmanship.
