Signed and dated in the lower left, Martin Ocana, Torremolinos 68. Torremolinos is a municipality in Spain. His work is said to be very much in the modernist surreal urban style that was popular around the world during the late 1960s and the 1970s, as it still is today. Martin Ocana is a well-known Spanish painter, working in Malaga and Torremolinos during the mid 20th century. His work is often of city scenes with figures and always has an element of mystery and movement. His paintings are sold at auctions and galleries and he is listed in art references, including ArtPrice and Davenport's Art Reference and Price Guide.
