M. M. Deane, American, New Orleans Oil On Board Still Life of Crawfish and Crab. The artist lived in New Orleans from 1972 to 1975.
M.M. Deane a native of New Orleans, studied art at H. Sophie Newcomb College of Tulane University where she specialized in oriental painting and European realism. Living in artist in 1950 has exhibited her work in galleries throughout the united states as well as Kyoto Japan. She was 1 of the 100 California artists selected to exhibit in the Golden Spike Centennial. The California Golden Spike Centennial in 1969 commemorated the 100th anniversary of the Golden Spike ceremony, which marked the completion of the transcontinental railroad in 1869.
