Leonard Creo (1923-2019) American, oil on canvas depicting children holding hands and dancing in a circle. Signed Creo in the lower right. Leonard Creo is known for portraits, genre, and sculpting. Born in New York, New York in 1923, Creo served in the US Army during World War II. Afterwards, he returned to New York to study at The Art Student's League. Following that, Creo studied for three years in Mexico with Gutierez and Sequierros and then Italy for a year with Pietro Annigonni. His work can be found in many museums.
