Larsia Sekitova was trained in at the iconography workshop at the Trinity-Sergius Lavra.
Christ Pantocrator is one of the most iconic and enduring representations of Jesus in Christian art, particularly within Eastern Orthodox and Byzantine traditions. Depicted as the all-powerful and all-knowing ruler of the universe, Christ is typically shown in a frontal pose, gazing directly at the viewer, with one hand raised in blessing and the other holding the Gospels. This image conveys both his divine authority and his role as judge and savior. The term "Pantocrator" is derived from the Greek meaning "Ruler of All," emphasizing Christ's sovereignty. The earliest known example dates to the 6th century in the monastery of Saint Catherine on Mount Sinai. Over time, the image became a central element in Orthodox church iconography, particularly in domes and apses, symbolizing the omnipresent, watchful presence of Christ over the faithful.
