Larsia Sekitova was trained in at the iconography workshop at the Trinity-Sergius Lavra.

Saint Nikephoros the Leper, born Nicholas Tzanakakis in 1890 in Sirikari, Crete, endured a life marked by profound suffering and deep spiritual devotion. Orphaned young and afflicted with leprosy in his teens, he fled to Egypt to avoid exile to the leper colony of Spinalonga. As his condition worsened, he sought refuge in the leper hospital of Chios in 1914, where he became a disciple of Saint Anthimos of Chios and was tonsured a monk with the name Nikephoros. Despite severe physical afflictions, including blindness, he lived a life of prayer, fasting, and humility, becoming known for his gentle spirit and spiritual guidance. Transferred to the Saint Barbara leper home in Athens in 1957, he continued his ministry until his repose on January 4, 1964. His relics were found to be fragrant, and numerous miracles have been attributed to his intercession. Canonized in 2012, Saint Nikephoros is venerated as a patron of those suffering from infectious diseases.

He saw a resurgence in veneration in Greece during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic.
