Kevin "Kre8" Vigil (born 1980) is a Miami-based contemporary painter known for his dynamic style, which he terms Kre8tizm. This style fuses elements of graffiti, tattoo art, abstract expressionism, and surrealism to symbolize human resilience and vibrancy. After moving from the Denver graffiti and tattoo scenes, Kre8 transitioned fully to painting around 2017 following a pivotal showing at Art Basel. His distinct process begins with structured monochrome imagery—representing truth—then overlays explosive color to represent the human spirit, leading to museum exhibitions that reflect his journey through adversity.
