Artist Biography:
John Farr has been drawn to art, color, and design throughout his life, finding joy in creativity from an early age. His journey began with watercolor painting while in the military and later expanded to life drawing, contemporary art, pottery, and photography during college, where he earned a B.S. degree. After retiring and relocating to Sarasota, Florida, John rediscovered his passion for painting, inspired by visits to art galleries and boutiques. He began showcasing and selling his work at McCormack and Company in Burn’s Court, eventually setting up his own studio. For John, painting is a source of excitement and fulfillment, blending colors and creating moods on canvas while sharing his work with others.
