Jack Bilander (1910–1989) was an American painter and illustrator best known for his detailed depictions of Western scenes, wildlife, and nostalgic Americana. Trained at the Art Institute of Chicago, Bilander developed a realistic style marked by careful composition, rich color, and a strong sense of narrative, often portraying cowboys, Native American subjects, and frontier life with both drama and authenticity. In addition to his fine art, he worked as a commercial illustrator, contributing to magazines and advertising, which helped broaden his audience.
