Irving Amen (1918–2011) was an American artist known for his distinctive prints, drawings, and sculptures. A prominent figure in the mid-20th century art scene, Amen was influenced by both European modernism and American regionalism. His work often featured themes of human figures, social issues, and Biblical subjects, executed with bold lines and intricate details. Amen studied at the Art Students League of New York and later became an influential educator. His art is in the collections of major institutions like the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and he received numerous awards throughout his career.
