Handcrafted wooden prayer shrine featuring a colorful, tiered structure decorated with traditional floral patterns and a deity illustration, all mounted on small wheels for mobility.

Indian puja shrines are sacred household or temple structures designed to house images of deities and facilitate daily worship rituals known as puja. Ranging from simple wall niches to elaborately carved wooden, stone, or metal cabinets, these shrines often feature ornate pillars, domes, and symbolic motifs drawn from Hindu iconography. Serving as intimate spiritual centers, puja shrines organize offerings such as lamps, incense, flowers, and sacred vessels, embodying the connection between domestic life, devotion, and ritual continuity in Indian religious practice.
