Female Nude in Interior, oil on canvas, signed and dated 1922 lower left. Born in Jefferson, Indiana, Herman Vice studied at the Chicago Academy of Fine Art and was a member of the South Side Art Association. He painted both in Illinois and Indiana and in 1922 exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago. Vice is known for landscape and figure painting. Housed in a gilt Arts & Craft frame.
