George Braun and Frans Hogenberg Aquatint Engravings, "Urban View of Edinburgh".

"Urban View of Edinburgh": George Braun and Frans Hogenberg published their six-volume atlas of urban views in 1572 including this view of the Scottish capital of Edinburgh, one of the earliest of the city. Modern landmarks such as the castle, the high street - known as the Royal Mile - and Holyrood House are clearly recognizable.
