This is an oil on canvas by Elden Rowland titled "Night Wind". It is signed in the lower right and dated 1961 on the verso. Rowland was born in Ohio and moved to Sarasota in the 1940's. He was instrumental in promoting the local art scene, including the Sarasota Arts Center, and he was active in the Florida Artist Group, the Sarasota Art Association, and the Art League of Manatee County. He and his wife lived in Siesta Key. The overall size is 51 in. x 38 1/2 in. wide and the sight size is 50 1/2 x 38 in. wide.
