Edith Buckland Webb (1877-1959) American California Mission Handtinted Photo by the Author of "Indian Life at the Old Missions". Photo circa 1910. Original frame. Born in Bountiful, UT on Dec. 11, 1877. Edith Buckland was educated in Salt Lake City at Hammond Hall. After her marriage to Hugh Webb in Fresno, CA in 1901, she painted a series of mission paintings. Mrs. Webb was the author of Indian Life at the Old Missions (1952). She spent most of her adult life in Los Angeles where she died on Oct. 28, 1959.
