This is an elegant Regency bracket clock made by Dwerrihouse Carter & Son, a well-known firm of English clockmakers located at Berkeley Square in London. They operated between 1800 and 1827.
The clock here is an eight-day bracket clock marked Dwerrihouse Carter & Son on the clock face. The circular enamel dial is 5 3/4 in. wide with steel spade hands and Roman numerals. The arched top case is made of mahogany veneers with ebony and brass inlay on both the front and sides. The backplate is marked Dwerrihouse Carter & Son, Berkeley Square as well, and the clock has a beautiful patina. With provenance. Dimensions: 7 1/2 in. across x 4 3/4 in. deep x 12 1/2 in. high.
