Dennis Stephan Assayac was born in 1955 in Paris, France. His affinity for art was first noted at age three by a kindergarten teacher, and his grandparents purchased professional art tools for him. At the age of seven he won first place in an art contest sponsored by a major art supply manufacturer in France, and although he was then considered too young to enroll in the acclaimed Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris he received intense private tutoring in his home from several of the institutions finest instructors throughout his childhood.  In 1971, at the age of 16, he relocated to the United States, where he swiftly found representation at shows and galleries in New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Miami. He now divides his time between his home country and his adopted land, and continues to receive commissions for original works in oils as well as regularly producing series of limited edition prints based on his older works.
