Daum France Burgundy to Green Floral Vase. Daum art glass vase with high raised relief of salamander, leaves, and fruits. Incise signature on foot, Daum France.

Size: 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 x 6 in. 

Daum is a renowned French art glass manufacturer founded in 1878 in Nancy, known for its exquisite handcrafted glassware and contributions to the Art Nouveau and Art Deco movements. The company became famous for its innovative pâte de verre technique, a lost-wax casting method that allows for intricate details and rich color variations. During the late 19th and early 20th centuries, Daum collaborated with artists like Louis Majorelle and was a key member of the École de Nancy, a group that promoted decorative arts in France. Their pieces often feature nature-inspired motifs, including flowers, landscapes, and organic forms, making them highly collectible. Today, Daum continues to produce luxury glass sculptures and decorative objects, maintaining its legacy of craftsmanship and artistic excellence.
