'Blue Sky Basket Set' : A Portland Press Edition 2004, this hand blown glass work is comprised of two components. The result? Something hard to define, but easy to enjoy. Engaging, wondering and wandering. The colors may entice you to dream a bit– and get lost in the soothing blues of this mysterious piece, just like a child does, laying in the grass and gazing skyward on an endless summer day. Chihuly, his work easily recognizable but harder to define, like the man himself. “I'm an artist, a designer, a craftsman, interior designer, half- architect. There's no one name that fits me very well.” Whatever name you call this creation, calling it and making it your own, is surely one treasure found, that will leave you feeling like a kid with plenty of days left on summer vacation.
