Chip Evans is a contemporary American realist painter primarily recognized for his luminous oil landscapes and his long-standing presence in the New England art scene. Based in Woodstock, Vermont, Evans transitioned to a full-time art career after a successful "renaissance" background that included an MBA from Harvard and a career in branding and creative management. His work is characterized by a deep focus on the play of light and atmosphere, often capturing serene rural scenes, historic Vermont architecture, and coastal Maine landscapes. For over 15 years, he was the lead artist at the prestigious Gallery On The Green before opening his own dedicated space, Evans Paintings, where he continues to produce both original oils and a widely collected series of limited-edition giclee prints. While he shares a name with various creative professionals in the digital and design spaces, Chip Evans the painter is most celebrated for his ability to translate a quiet, "window in time" perspective of the natural world onto canvas.
