Chinese Qing Dynasty Porcelain Vase as Lamp. Hexagonal Chinese porcelain vase with soft blue and white glaze, painted with children in village life. Converted into electric lamp, attached to base. With calligraphy signature or verse on body.

Chinese porcelain from the Qing Dynasty (1644–1912) represents the height of technical innovation, aesthetic refinement, and imperial patronage in ceramic art. Under the Kangxi, Yongzheng, and Qianlong emperors, porcelain production at the Jingdezhen kilns flourished, resulting in an extraordinary variety of styles and forms. These included vivid overglaze enamels such as famille verte, famille rose, and famille noire, as well as finely executed blue-and-white wares, monochromes, and experimental glazes. Qing porcelain is distinguished by its intricate decoration, impeccable craftsmanship, and a balance between bold visual impact and delicate detail. Often made for the imperial court or for export, these wares reflected both traditional Chinese themes and influences from global trade, cementing Qing porcelain as some of the most coveted and collectible ceramics in the world.
