This race is famous for being one of the greatest "one-lap wonders" in history: after race leader Jim Clark suffered a heartbreaking fuel pump failure on the final lap, Surtees and Brabham were left to battle for the win. Surtees ultimately held off Brabham by just 0.2 seconds (less than a car length), securing the first and only victory for the "Hondola" chassis in its debut race—and the final win of his own illustrious career.
